1. Accountant
Tasks:
ABB Vietnam currently has an opportunity for an Accountant who would be responsible for accounting activities such as general reporting, tax transactional, treasury activities, etc. and ensure adherence to compliance policies. Joining our team in Hanoi office and reporting to account supervisor, your key areas of responsibility will include but are not limited to:
- Applies accounting techniques and standard practices to perform general accounting activities, classify and record financial transactions, and solve unusual issues;
- Ensures the production of reports, statement of accounts, reconciliations and executes accounting analyses as assigned;
- Analyze specific accounts on regular basis and take necessary actions as and when required;
- Manage tax by maintaining correct tax records and tax payments of all types of taxes as per tax authority;
- Perform treasury activities such as perform FX hedging, bank reconciliation, perform liquidity report, work with bank to issue LC and bank guarantee, etc.;
- Cooperate with GBS team in India for necessary actions and ensure Compliance with ABB’s Accounting and Reporting Guidelines, and local GAAP;
- Achieve internal control over financial reporting for applicable templates;
- Ensure timely and high-quality services to all applicable stakeholders as per service level agreements;
- Support and participate in safety, compliance, business ethics, Group Charter, communications and other related activities.
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you should possess a university degree with minimum 1 to 2 years’ experience in auditing (Big4 is preferred), general accounting, tax, treasury and treasury management. You should have strong accounting and basic system knowledge. This role would suit someone who has good English communication, numeric and analytical skills.

2. Account Manager
Tasks:
ABB Vietnam is seeking Account Manager for LV Drives, who would be responsible for identifying and developing the Channel Partners, OEMs, customer group and industry segments to achieve the sales target. Reporting to the Northern Sales Manager your key areas of responsibility will include but are not limited to:
- Handle the market analysis (regionally and nationally) by seeking and managing the market information, monitoring the competitors, offerings to customers and price levels;
- Provide the necessary market information to sales manager and contributing to identify and develop new potential customers segments and markets;
- Manage marketing activities e.g. marketing communication, exhibition, conferences, customer meetings, customer needs and probable offerings of product;
- Plan the sales activities by identifying new business possibilities, maximizing the potential in existing business or customer group;
- Ensure the extensive knowledge sharing to production and sales team to adhere to the budget and customer requirement;
- Understand the customer needs and channel strategy to ensure extensive knowledge about customer;
- Manage the negotiations and participating in risk assessment activities to ensure the targets are achieved as per the business plan;
- Monitor sales proposal and tenders to achieve the optimum value.
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you should have an engineering degree in Electrical with minimum 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in technical sales and marketing. The role would suit someone who would have good knowledge of automation and robotics industry and products. You should be a strong communicator, self-starter, good team player and willing to travel.
